b. 1964, Seoul, South Korea. Lives and works in Seoul

After studying at the University of Seoul, Kim Young-ho is currently residing in Seoul to explore his artistic world of painting and running his own advertising agency Doodle Communications. He mainly works with digital art, and his recent creation is a conceptual character Bogle, which he applies simple lines and shapes to convey dramatic stories about humanism in the modern society.

Kim’s digital paintings are adaptive to today’s ever-changing technology, as he tries to explore new options for his art. The new medium used introduces a new era in Modernism: his artworks explore the intensity of life and desire, incorporate decorative art into symbols of life, juxtapose the approachable and the distant by utilising experimental methods in illustrations. The digital pieces depart from the artist’s every day experiences, and directly respond to the surrounding environment.
